Monitoring Our Precious Resource

Description

Control Electronics model CPS-460DH Ultrasonic Doppler Flowmeter is a non-contacting, non-intrusive system that continuously monitors the flow in full pipes with at least 70 ppm suspended solids or air bubbles, indicating flow rate, totalized flow and many other variables. The system has 2 independent 4-20 mA analog outputs, 4 control relays and 1 sampler pulse relay, all programmable. The sensors may be mounted on any pipe size from 1.0” to 50”.  A 200 day time stamped data logging provides 24 hour summary of flow rate, total flow for day, number of pump cycles with run time and more.

CPS-460DH / 460DX Ultrasonic Doppler Flowmeter

The US460DH Sensor is a dual-head arrangement with 25 feet of coaxial cable.  The PVC sensors are easily mounted to the outside of the pipe using the supplied Silicone grease ( coupling paste ) and stainless steel hose clamp.

Typical sensor mounting

The Model CPS-460R allows for remote monitoring of up to 1000 feet using an inexpensive two twisted pair shielded interconnect cable.  The Ultrasonic transmit and receiver card is located at the measuring site in a NEMA 4X enclosure.

Data Logging

The CPS-460 automatically logs daily flow for the past 200 days with auto wrap around. It will record the date, daily average GPM flow rate with the min / max rate, time stamped.  Total flows for the day and pump cycles will also be logged.  The logging sample rate is programmable from 0-99 minutes in 1 minute increments.  All data may be viewed at the meter or downloaded using any standard communication package.

A time stamped EVENT list is also provided to record actions the flowmeter has made such as power lost, power ON, unit programmed, relays ON/OFF etc.  All data is preformatted and can be downloaded to a PC.

For Programming Meter, RESETing Meter and Trouble Shooting go to SUPPORT.
